Google Rumored to Buying Groupon

I read the rumor for the first time a couple of weeks ago and intended to write about it. Apparently the rumors are really kicking even more on Cyber Monday!

Maybe they think they are getting a great deal on this lovely day of consumerism at an estimated 3 billion dollars.

With the huge changes that Google has been implementing in Google Places, this acquisition will be huge in my opinion. Given the reach of Google Places integrating some method to leverage into revenue is a no brainer as far as I am concerned. Groupon supposedly makes $5o million a month.

And with this possible buyout the battle between the Social Network and Google for local business dollars.
